What is SET?
SET stands for the Student Engagement Team (SET). This team consists of student representatives from all of the participating member colleges that are part of the Maryland Collegiate Honors Council (MCHC). SET members are an instrumental voice and helping hand during the MCHC conference, as they can help provide insight, guidance, and information to attendees.
-
What does SET do?
SET helps with the planning and execution of the annual MCHC conference! Our members give valuable suggestions and ideas during the planning process of the conference and help share MCHC updates with Honors peers at their institutions. Additionally, SET members can help organize and moderate the student story panels, pending capacity.
-
How does SET help student engagement?
SET members help represent the voices of their honors peers in the team. SET members relay MCHC updates to their peers, encourage them to submit proposals for their research/presentations, promote registration for the conference, help develop student story panels, and circulate feedback throughout the year so the annual conference and relevant events are enjoyable for everyone.

Why should I join SET?
Being a SET member is an amazing way to connect with honors students and faculty from all over Maryland! As a SET member, you play an integral role in how the conference is planned and executed, meaning you can help shape which issues need to be addressed and ensure students have a safe space to share their research, voice their needs, and interact across institutions!
